How to increase Magento sales? With one simple extension!

After a week of discussion, we’ve decided to release a free Magento extension that we’ve already tried on one of our premium clients that we can’t name due to NDA restrictions and itself increased sales by astonishing 1893%!

Development of this extension was quite pricey, since we had to pay for 3 independent psychology researches (with total sample of 3521 online store customers). Since it’s based directly on online store customers emotions, we’ve managed to use something “as stupid as a custom button” to make this incredible extension.

What it does to make this happen you might ask? You have every right to be skeptical – it adds a “Buy All” button to Magento theme in header, on each page. The extension itself adds all online store’s products to cart and redirects you there. Simple as that!

AIDA in eCommerce – Landing on product pages

AIDA stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. It’s the oldest trick in the sales book, but rarely thought about when it comes to eCommerce. The idea is that a sales person should follow these four steps when pitching a product to the potential buyer. In the world of eCommerce, you don’t have your sales person, so this process is (should) be done by your online store.

Attention

Using search engines, in most cases visitors will land on product or category pages. We will concentrate on your product pages within the AIDA process. Once the visitor lands on your product page, you have merely a few seconds to grab his attention. In these few seconds, this visitor will decide weather this is what he was looking for or he’ll move along. We are talking about attention, the first part of AIDA process. In the real world, you’d be trying to catch the attention of the buyer in this step, but online, you already have his attention. All you need to do is make sure you don’t lose it.

Magento 1.5.0.1 is latest stable version released by  Magento commerce but various stores are still running older versions 1.3.x or 1.4.x just because they don’t know if they are running Magento stores which is not upgraded to latest secure version. Upgrading Magento was always a pain for many store owners (one prominent reason for not Upgrading). 1.3.x and 1.4.x versions had various bugs and performance issues which are taken care of in latest Magento 1.5.x versions. In additional there are various added functionalities been introduced to facilitate store owners who still choose self hosted version. Those who have opted for Magento Go don’t have to worry about upgraded etc. as Magento itself will take care of all the bugs, performance issues etc. Magento 1.5.0 comes with the following features which have major changes in various modules i.e.

How To Enable Disable Installed Magento Extensions

Magento Extensions are great for enhancing the features of any Magento powered ecommerce stores. Typically these extensions covers those parts of e-commerce which aren’t there in default Magento core. Magento is complete in itself but there are various options which are missing from the core i.e. AJAX cart, Product on Sale, Custom newsletters, Blog, extra fee, Featured product sliders and so on. There is a huge list of features which are required by various Magento powered stores. Unfortunately, not all extensions can be a part of the Magento core otherwise Magento will end up like Oscommerce (a powerhouse where all you needed was a generator). Having too many features will eventually confuse the end users so it’s vital for any open source to keep the configuration aspects optimized. You don’t want to give a month training to use your software do you?
